How intense can be the longing to escape from the emptiness and dullness of human verbosity, to take refuge in nature, apparently so inarticulate, or in the wordlessness of long, grinding labour, of sound sleep, of true music, or of a human understanding rendered speechless by emotion!
taurus persists in their ways, refusing to let anything on the outside change them. they are who they are and they do what they do and no one can convince them otherwise.
virgo persists in their servitude, regardless how many times they may get taken advantage of. nothing can taint a virgo’s helpful nature, because it will always be what they believe is right.
capricorn persists in their ambitions, never losing sight of their goals. a sleepless night won’t stop them, and a failure will only urge them forward. their eyes are always on their future.

Mamoru Kishi
There were times when Mamoru’s laziness bothered her, but today wasn’t one of those times. Coming to the beach had been Kira’s idea and it had taken her a bit of work to get her boyfriend to say yes. But in the end he had and she could tell he wasn’t regretting it.
Mamoru lying next to her on the beach blanket, his eyes closed and his head resting on his arm. His breathing was shallow as he slept. When she had realized that he had fallen asleep she had to move the umbrella so he was in the shade and wouldn’t burn.
Kira stretched and rolled over onto her stomach. Her half of the blanket was still in the sun and she was enjoying it immensely. She had been working for eight days straight, taking three of Sakiko’s shifts as she was sick, and felt the beach was the perfect place to unwind.
Mitsunari Baba
“Kira, come out further!” Baba called from where he stood in water just above his waist.
Kira shivered from the shin high water she stood in. “I don’t think so. It’s too cold!” she told him with a grimace.
“Once you get more of your body into it, the cold doesn’t even bother you.” He shot her a wide smile. “Trust me.”
With a sigh of forfeit, Kira trudged through the chilly water towards her boyfriend.
“See? It’s not so bad, is it?” Baba wrapped his arms around her bare waist and pulled her close to him. His skin was surprisingly warm on hers.
“I guess…” Kira saw a flash of a smile adorn Baba’s face before her feet came off the sandy bottom and her vision was filled with water. For the few moments that she was emerged in water, she panicked until she could get her feet under her and stand up. “Baba!” she shrieked once she gathered her wits. “What the hell was that?”
The thief laughed, unable to keep the mirth from his face. “I told you, it got warmer once you got your body into it. You’re not shivering anymore.”
“You’re such a jerk!” she cried, splashing him with water then laughing when she saw the shocked look on his face.
Drops of water clung to the ends of his hair before falling and rolling down his chest, increasing her heart beat. “You know this means war, right?”
At his words Kira turned and ran through the water, laughter flying from her mouth.
Eisuke Ichinomiya
The entire beach was deserted and frankly, Kira was happy about that. When Eisuke had suggested they go to the beach, she expected for him to bring her to a private one. What she didn’t expect was the swimsuit he had picked out for her.
It was a black halter one-piece that exposed her back and had a plunging neckline that stopped just above her bellybutton. She felt completely exposed and embarrassed, ever if he was the only one to see her in it. Hoping to cover up all of her exposed skin, she grabbed a beach towel and draped it around herself.
“What are you doing?” Eisuke asked, catching her movements from the corner of his eyes.
“I really can’t wear this!”
“Of course you can. You already are.” Eisuke turned to her. A smirk came to his lips when he saw that only her bare legs were visible from under the towel. “I’ve told you before” you’re my woman, you need to be more confident.” He reached forward and removed the towel from her tight grasp.
Kira wrapped her arms around herself and hung her head, staring at her sandy toes. “It doesn’t look good on me at all…”
She felt Eisuke’s fingers on her chin and then she was looking into his eyes. “It does. I always know what will look best on you.”
Ota Kisaki
Kira leaned back in the lawn chair, watching the crowded beach. Couples splashed in the clear blue water, children built sandcastles and everyone enjoyed the hot sun. Ota had gone to buy them water from the nearby canteen and she was enjoying the moment alone to take it all in.
“Ah!” Kira cried out, jumping forward as something cold touched her neck. Looking over her shoulder she saw Ota standing behind her with a smile on his face and a bottle of water in each hand.
“Quite the reaction, Koro.” He sat down in the chair next to her and took a long swig of his drink.
“It wasn’t funny, Ota…” she said with her won little smile on her lips.
“Doesn’t that look fun?” Ota laughed.
Kira followed his gaze to where a dog and its owner were playing frisbee. “Yeah, I guess so.” She hadn’t had any pets growing up so she really didn’t know if it would be fun or not.
“What do you say, Koro? Do you want to play frisbee with your master?”
Cluing into what Ota was getting at, Kira’s eyes grew wide and she shook her head. “No, I don’t!”
Soryu Oh
He wasn’t a big fan of the beach so when she asked him to go and he said no, she wasn’t surprised. Not wanting to go alone and knowing that Sakiko would be working, Kira had asked Inui and Samejima who both agreed. It was only when Soryu heard that they were going that he said yes.
Soryu was reading one of his detective novels under the large umbrella while Kira sat next to him staring out at the ocean.
“Look, Miss, Sir!” Inui called as he made his way towards them with Samejima following behind. In his hands he held a volleyball. “There’s a net open; we can all play!”
Kira stood and smiled at the two men. “Yeah, that should be fun.”
Soryu didn’t get up. “I’m fine here.”
Kira was going to ask him if he was sure, but Inui spoke first. “Then it’ll have to be uneven teams… Alright, Miss, it’ll be you can me versus Samejima.
There was a thump and Kira looked over to see Soryu sitting down his book and stand. “I’ll be her partner.”
